Nate Bargatze’s TV pilot will feature a beloved sitcom husband/wife team

Nate Bargatze

One of our favorite comedians Nate Bargatze is taking aim at Hollywood as he’s working to develop an ABC pilot based on his real life. In the last few days, two beloved TV actors have come on board for the show to portray his parents on the show and that’s Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith, if those two names don’t jump right at you, you’d probably know them better as Red and Kitty Forman the parents on That 70s Show.

They join Bargatze, who will play a version of himself and his wife (The League’s Katie Aselton) as a couple that moves away from the bustle of Los Angeles and move to Nate’s childhood home of Nashville, TN to give their young daughter the same type of childhood he had. Bargatze is developing the series with his writing partner Dan Shaki, Jerrod Carmichael, and Ari Katcher.
